About Me

Brad and I are so excited to be welcoming Baby Oz October 26th, 2012. This year we will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary as a family of 3. We have no idea what to expect on this journey to parenthood, but look forward to sharing as we go. I look forward to having this blog as a way to look back on all the exciting things happening this year. My friend Ashley's sister did this and i think it is a great alternative to posting everything on facebook...not everyone needs to see/read all that! Please, feel free to read and comment as we go. We haven't done this before, so any advice/ tips are welcome! Thanks =)

A Perfect Mothers Day

The Osborne family is going to hit the ground running this year -starting with this spring/summer! We look forward to life changes, travel, & time with family and friends! This time last year we put our first home on the market - as we were starting to out grow it (and thinking we were going to have another baby). We knew we wanted to be in Forsyth, close to family & in a good school district (funny because we now send Max to a private school very close to our old house). We are in a good neighborhood, next to a park (best part by far), running path, and our family is near by. The best thing is that by spending a little less than we anticipated we are now able to do a little more. Brad just returned from Europe and visiting his cousin Dylan. I'm about to be a single moming it again as he will next week be hitting the road again, this time to Nashville, TN for a work trip. We will have about a month at home and then we will be leaving for our #friendcation! We are going on a cruise with our friends to the western Caribbean. I am thrilled to see some new tropical places and spend some adult time with our best friends. We will then hit the road for the holidays and finish up with a trip to Mexico in December!!!

Sounds like we have it all planned out right? Pretty perfect right?...well it does because when I blog I don't often include ALL of the struggles. Over the past year+ we have struggled with infertility and it wasn't until others shared with me their struggles that I was able to finally open up about it. Whew!!! Feels good!!! So today right before Mother's Day we got a call from our fertility doctor & we got our plan! In this journey all of our traveling became and issue - stupid Zika virus! So I picked up my fist set of meds today (nothing scary yet - needles to come) and we will do the egg retrieval before we go to the Caribbean. When we return I will have to wait two weeks and be tested for Zika. If negative - we should be able to schedule our IVF! It's something that I never saw in my life's plan but I'm excited and feel blessed to have this option. I have one beautiful, healthy, happy little boy - more than so many people can say. I started a blog when I was pregnant with Max and I hope to do the same this time around...it will just be a little or a lot different.

Xo,

G
