About Me

Brad and I are so excited to be welcoming Baby Oz October 26th, 2012. This year we will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary as a family of 3. We have no idea what to expect on this journey to parenthood, but look forward to sharing as we go. I look forward to having this blog as a way to look back on all the exciting things happening this year. My friend Ashley's sister did this and i think it is a great alternative to posting everything on facebook...not everyone needs to see/read all that! Please, feel free to read and comment as we go. We haven't done this before, so any advice/ tips are welcome! Thanks =)

Falling into the spirit of Christmas early?

First an update on those new French wines I bought earlier...
This was a dry white but not my thing - I am not a huge fan of barrel aged and this one I could really taste it! Oh well worth a try and I love the bottle!
I also got this wine in a dry red and....I loved it!!! It was not to heavy so perfect with or without a meal :) yumm! I will definitely be buying this one again.
So with that said we have been enjoying the last of the fall weather! I got a new fall hair cut and color last week - needing some change!!! What do you think?!?!?!
I am Judd not sure but it will be much less maintenance over the winter for sure!
We viewed and ordered our fall pictures and had lunch with my brother in Edwardsville. I really miss southern Illinois and would love to be back! Sunday we took a trip to IKEA to get office furniture for the new car wash - I love IKEA and could literally buy it all!!! Instead I got two new pillows and Brad got a bunch of stuff for the business...boring...ok I still enjoyed the trip!
They go perfectly with my black and white decour. Monday we enjoyed what very well may be the last day of fall like weather. Max and I went to the park and he ran and ran and ran some more! My little chatter box was taking about the trees and squirls - he wanted to pet them ! He enjoyed the day and I enjoyed that all of the running resulted in an early bed time.
Although I miss my baby I LOVE this age! He can communicate and learns something new everyday. We left the park when it began to get dark and chilly! I don't know why but I got an urge to put up Christmas decorations - of course Brad told me NO but I still may do it a bit early? How soon is too soon. We won't be home for Christmas so I think we need to enjoy them early...what are your thoughts? Comments welcome :)

Cheers to the holidays and family time!!! I am out of wine as you can see so sparkling water it is!

Daylight Savings...WiNE!!!

So I totally love and hate daylight savings time, mostly because I forget about it & suddenly have an extra hour the next day! We had a busy weekend with Halloween & today we showed the house. We haven't been pushing the house too much being that we are in no rush, put it up late in the year and I don't want to move in the winter!!! We have a great home that I LOVE - just need a different school district (or Max will be and OLOL kid). We have had so many people call last week about our house I was shocked. We showed it today and it went really well - hopefully those interested can sell their homes quickly!
I am obsessed with my view right now and not having this will make me sad :( so I have not been good about posting my wine choices but don't worry it's still being consumed!!!
I have a little project in the works so I am saving my bottles right now. I got two bottles of a French wine to try this week -one red and one white. I am pretty pumped about them because French wine has to be good right? And becaus the bottles are so stinking cute! I LOVe the gold and navy especially!!!
So now that it will be dark by 5 I will be making my pour a little earlier...could be dangerous! Anyone else have this problem? I will now be getting home from work, getting in my sweats, pouring a glass of wine, and the be ready to go i bed by 7! I did mention above that I love I too and I do! I love it being dark and seeing all of the Christmas lights :) puts me in a happy mood. Then when January rolls around I will be 100% over it! I will be grumpy from then until spring - I hate that transition and that is usually when the weather is the worst! I am now ready to throw up all of my new Christmas decorations, play Christmas music, and drink peppermint mochas!!! Bring on the holidays!!!

Cheers to pouring that drink a little early tonight!!!

Halloween Fail

So last year we really did up Halloween and this year...it just didn't happen for us. We went to see Brads Dad in costume last weekend thankfully - because we didn't make it too far this weekend! Max came to work with me Friday and had a blast there running all over ADM's trade floor. He has a little too much fun because he was tired and we didn'take it to see too much family after that. He had fun and that is what matters - just not what I had in mind (not the fist time I have said that). I always create a picture in my mind of how in invision things going and then I am disappointed when it doesn't go perfect - sooooo type A!!!

Cheers friends :) & hope you had a fun and safe Halloween!!!
