About Me

Brad and I are so excited to be welcoming Baby Oz October 26th, 2012. This year we will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary as a family of 3. We have no idea what to expect on this journey to parenthood, but look forward to sharing as we go. I look forward to having this blog as a way to look back on all the exciting things happening this year. My friend Ashley's sister did this and i think it is a great alternative to posting everything on facebook...not everyone needs to see/read all that! Please, feel free to read and comment as we go. We haven't done this before, so any advice/ tips are welcome! Thanks =)

You Want it...You Got it!

So I have been super hyped for Christmas ever since November - I had the tree up weeks before Thanksgiving (see last post)! The thing is now I am wanting things to just slow down...how are we just a few weeks away from Christmas? I feel like I have so much to do and so little time to get it done - making lists on top of lists because I am a list girl! We had a wonderful thanksgiving with family and enjoyed seeing some family from out of town that we don't get to see often! It was wonderful to give thanks for all God has blessed us with in this life, and this year. December has been a blur!!! We started elf on the shelf with Max - he loves to read so he is fully into it!!! To be honest...I was shocked that he came up with a name on his own, Timothy (also the name of one of his trains), and knows to look for him each morning. Even more shocking to me he follows the rules of not touching the elf and tells us no touch Timothy. As much as he loves it - I too secretly love getting to be sneaky and crafty!!!
We started this on Monday and I had to leave for a work trip on Wednesday and was gone until Sunday soooo much to my surprise Brad was able to keep it going (I thought he would forget honestly). Although I missed my baby I always enjoy the opportunity to get to travel for work, learning, and meeting new people. I cooked a million and one meals for them so they would not starve while I was gone and I think they ate out a majority of the time.

We just so happen to also be going to the Bears-Cowboys game!!! Eeekkkk I was so excited and the view from the suite could not have been better . Got to meet a lot of people and see my boys win!
I of course got some FaceTime in with my boys, got to see my mom for a short bit, and had a dinner Saturday night.
I had to be up and at um early Sunday morning to get home for a Christmas party! I left around 7am - just in time to see the sun coming up! It was beautiful :)
At the Christmas party Max ran up to see Santa and even tried giving him a smooch! All I can say is I'm glad it was someone we knew and not a mall Santa!!! I never have and probably never will do the mall Santa thing - so parents out there what are your thoughts? Of course I don't have any pictures because my phone was dead but there is more Christmas to come! I have so much shopping, wrapping, and packing to do as the holiday draws near...so look for my next post about the scramble! Last Christmas in Georgia this year :( so cheers to a good one!!!

This is my "go to wine" can you guess what it is???

xoxo,
